Asset Management for Ministry of Justice

An asset management tool to enable the Youth Justice Board to place and manage young people within the justice system.

I was responsible for the complete build of the Returns system including all UI development, coding and tests.

Returns featured a fully dynamic charting system showing the lifespan of a young person including all life history and the management of assets from youth offending teams around the country.

The site was developed in a full agile environment in Angular 1.5. UI was built using Bootstrap and SCSS. The site was compiled using Grunt task runner.

Tests were created in Jasmine and Karma and code was reviewed before every merge.

GIT was used for source control utilising the GitFlow workflow.

Key Successes

I worked with Marty on and off for 2.5 years. He's one of the best designers I've ever worked with. Not only does he have great design skills, he also creates the code to make it run exactly as it should. Whether it's writing expert Actionscript, making databases work, figuring out how to code for Bebo, and much more. Marty's enthusiasm to do a good job is unfailing. He's a natural all rounder and a great communicator. Working with Marty was a pleasure. His fun and positive personality, plus talent and integrity - make him someone I'd recommend wholeheartedly!

The best quality of Marty was that he remains cool how grim the situation is. He was versatile & has a wonderful attribute to multi-task his work with great ease. As a person, he was humble, honest and caring. I was impressed by his analytic skills; deep-thinking, and resolve to overcome gravest of challenges. Also, it's fun to work with him.

Definitely, where ever he goes, he will make his mark & bring the best out of his team.
